An English TV and film producer and director, Nigel Lythgoe is very successful and has earned massive amount from his upgrading career, however, is a bit unlucky when it comes to his personal life.
He faced a tragic ending of his married life with his first wife, Bonita Shawe who was the judge of an American Idol after having children and grandchildren as well.

Nigel is currently dating Cheryl Shuman, the founder of the Beverly Hills Cannabis Club. At first, the couple denied about their relationship but after appearing together in an event of OK magazine, it was confirmed that the couple was dating each other.
The pair was spotted at many places together, however, has not yet confirmed about their planning to get married.
Before dating Cheryl there was a buzz about him linking up with Priscilla Presley, an American actress soon after his divorce with his wife.
However, the buzz lasted only for few months and the two never admitted their relationship as mentioned each other as just friends.
Divorced with his first wife, Bonita Shawe
Nigel met Bonita Shawe for the first time on the set of the BBC's Young Generation dance group. Soon after that, they started dating. Bonita also became one of the judges on the show, So You Think You Can Dance.
Dating after several months, the couple married in 1974. They were having a blissful life together until Bonita decided to split with her husband most probably in 2010. Their long time marriage ended in seconds.
As per Nigel,
'' I had No idea she wanted the marriage to end.''
His statement shows that Bonita herself wanted to end the relationship and the reason behind their divorce is still a matter of curiosity for the audiences.
Whereas, when his ex-wife was in the camp of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, she told everyone that her ex-loves him till the date and is still waiting for her.
She said,
''He wasn't going to give up, he wants me back.''
The statements made the audiences confuse as Nigel never expressed such feelings to the media but his ex-wife accused him.

Some years after their marriage, the couple welcomed their first child named, Simon Lythgoe who is today one of the producers of American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance.
He was previously married to his first-wife, Fiona Lazaredes on 3rd January 1999 and are blessed with three children named, Kyan David Anthony Lynthagoe, Tighe Jamie George Lythgoe, and Dominie Antonia Lythgoe.

After years of their marriage, they separated in 2004. In 2008, he again got married to a makeup artist on American Idol named, Tifanie White and again separated in 2012.
Moreover, Nigel and his ex-wife became parents for the second time on 10th May 1979 and named him Kris Lythgoe who is an English plus American television producer plus a theatre writer.
He married Becky Baeling, an American singer plus actress in 2013 and has a child named, George Alexander Lythgoe. So, in total, the ex-pair, Nigel, and Bonita have two sons and four grandchildren.
