Early Life and Education
Christina Perry was born as Christina Judith Perri on August 19, 1986. She was born in Bensalem Pennsylvania to Mary and Dante Perri. Christina grew up with her older brother, Nick Perri who is a guitarist by profession. Her father is from Italy and mother from Poland hence she is of mixed decent.
Perri attended Archbishop Ryan High School and graduated from there. Music was her interest from an early age. She learned to play guitar watching a videotape. She often sang and acted in musical theater as a child.
Career
Christina began her career producing music videos for a living. She also worked as a waitress during the day and did recording at night in the early phase of her career. She came to highlights when her Jar of Hearts’ became a hit selling over 100,000 copies within a month. The song featured on So You Think You Can Dance in 2010.
Later in 2011, her debut album ‘Lovestrong’ was released on May 10. She then worked on the soundtrack ‘A Thousand Years’ for the film ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part 1’ which starred actress Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. The song was certified 4x platinum with over 4 million sales in the US. Her second EP ‘A Very Merry Perri Christmas' released in 2012.
Her second album ‘Head or Heart’ was released in 2014, April 1. She worked continuously for two years for her second album. She collaborated with Ed Sheeran in Be My Forever included in the album.

Christina is quite secretive regarding her affairs and relationship. Before starting her career, she married LA based video maker and got divorced after 18 months of her marriage. After that, she was rumored to be dating John Andersson with whom she frequently worked.
