She is a Canadian television actress. She is born to an Indian immigrants from East Africa. She is popular among her fans for her roles as Layla Siddiqui on CBC's hit series "Little Mosque on the Prairie". From her young age she was fascinated in acting and as the result at very early age she began her training at Tarlington Training while she was still attending York House School. She holds degree in BFA, Majoring in Theater from Simon Fraser University. She has also starred in Disney's Geek Charming and Nickelodeon's The Troop. She was awarded twice with BC and National Istar Awards for Arts and Culture in 2007 and 2008.
