Angela Margaret Jane is famously known as Anji Hunter and was born in Kuala Lumpur. Anji works in public relations. She worked with Tony Blair as soon as she completed her studies in the field of public relationship as his assistant. Though being politically active, she hasn�t shared much of her personal life and about her family as well as her childhood.
Early life
Hunter was born in Kuala Lumpur, where her father was rubber plantation manager. She attended St. Leonards School in Scotland and St, Clare’s, Oxford. Anji met Tony Blair in Scotland when she was 15. After gaining a First in History and English during 1988 from the Brighton Polytechnic, she began working for Blair as his political assistant.
Career
In 1997 Hunter became Director of Government Relations for Tony Blair’s government and was described as “the most influential non-elected person in Downing Street.”
In 2001 she left Downing Street and became the Director of Communications at the oil giant BP in 2002. In 2009 she was appointed Director of External Affairs for Anglo American plc. Anji is also a board member of the Snowdon Trust, founded by the Earl of Snowdon, which provides grants and scholarships for students with disabilities.
Personal life
Moving toward Hunter’s personal life, she has been married twice. Hunter married the landscape gardener Nick Cornwall in 1980. They have two children, Finnbar and Lara, But the couple couldn’t stay together for long and ended their marriage with divorce.
Hunter got married again in 2006 to the political editor of Sky News, Adam Boulton. It is said that Anji had an affair with her present husband Boulton while she was married to her former husband, Nick. The couple tied the knot at St. James Church, Piccadilly.
