An American television news anchor and reporter who was a news anchor for WXYZ-TV. He graduated from University of Detroit. He started his career as reporter for the city's Contact News on WKNR-AM. He was also associated with various other radio stations like WCAR, WPON and WQTE. In 1963 he joined WXYZ as booth announcer. In 1968 he joined KABC-TV in Los Angeles where he used to be anchor at Eyewitness News. He had also made brief appearance in Eminem's music video named "Mockingbird". Heart attack was the cause of his death.
Talking about his personal life he was married to the love of his life. She was very supportive wife. During their marriage relationship there was not once a rumor regarding their extra marital affair with anyone which also proves that they were very happy with each other. Together the couple was blessed with three children. His wife was with him when he died at his home in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
