Deirdre Imus is an author, health advocate and radio personality. Moreover, she is the founder and president of the Deirdre Imus Environmental Health Center.
She graduated from Villanova University. On 24th May 2007, she Deirdre was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree by Pace University in recognition of her advocacy on behalf of children's environmental health.
On 17th December 1994, Deirdre Imus married Don Imus, radio and television personality and frequently appears on his program called 'Imus in the Morning'. The couple has a son named Frederick Wyatt nicknamed Wyatt, born on 3rd July 1998. Don Imus has four daughters from her previous marriage.
In 1999, the couple founded the 'Imus Ranch', a charitable organization for children with cancer, as well as siblings of SIDS victims. The Deirdre Imus Environmental Health Center conducts research into the possible links between various cancers and environmental hazards.
