Born in Los Angeles, California, Jason Segel is primarily known as an actor, comedian, author, and a screenwriter. He was born to Jillian and Alvin Segel and was raised in Pacific Palisades neighborhood. Jason has a sister Allison and brother Adam. He went to Hebrew school as a kid and completed school studies from St. Matthew's Parish School. He often participated in the plays while he was in school. Jason was on the basketball team of his high school. He started his formal career in acting by working in the comedy series "Freaks and Geeks."
Jason Segel rose to fame after getting a role in the series "How I met your mother". Afterwards, he worked in Knocked up. Segel started his career in the movies from the movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall which was a big hit of 2008. He again worked as a co-writer and an actor for the movie The Muppets.
