John Gorger Trump was an American electrical engineer, inventor, and physicist. Trump was the youngest of three children and the second son of German immigrants of Elizabeth and Friedrich Trump. He received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Polytechnic Institution of Brooklyn, master’s degree in physics from Columbia University and his doctorate in electrical engineering from Massachusetts Institution of Technology.He was a professor at MIT from 1936 until 1973. He was involved in radar research for the Allies in second world war, helped to design X-ray machines that help to provide additional years of life to cancer patients. After the end of world war, Trump returned to MIT to teach and lead research. John was also requested to examine Nikola Tesla’s paper and equipment after he passed in his room at the New York Hotel.
John G. Trump was a married man and a family person. He wife named is not disclosed but it is known that he was a father to his three children, two sons, John Gordon Trump, Christine Philp and a daughter Karen Ingraham and six grandchildren. He is the uncle of Newly-elected President of America, Donald Trump. John Trump died on February 21, 1985, in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.
