American actor, Mark Hamill is the son of Virginia Suzanne (1927�1998) and William Thomas Hamill, U.S. Navy Captain (1926-2014). He was educated at Los Angeles City College. Hamill had a recurring role on the soap opera 'General Hospital'. He also appeared in the television series, 'Criminal Minds;' in the last two episodes of season 8 as John Curtis.
Mark Hamill married Mary Lou York, a dental hygienist on 17th December 1978. The couple has three children; Nathan Hamill, born in 1979; Griffin Hamill, born in 1983; and Chelsea Elizabeth Hamill, born in 1988. Hamill is the co-writer of 'The Black Pearl', a comic book miniseries published by Dark Horse Comics. He has won the British Academy Video Game Award for Best Performer.
