An English actress and comedian who is popular for starring in her own show, Miranda. She is a daughter of Captain David Hart Dyke and Diana Margaret Luce. She completed her formal education from Downe House, Berkshire. She also holds a degree in political science from the University of the West of England. She attended Academy of Live and Recorded Arts where she got a post-graduated degree. She started her career by appearing in different British sitcoms. She got her first big role as Barbara, a clumsy cleaner in Not Going Out. She has also made a guest appearance in Nighty Night, Absolutely Fabulous , French & Saunders, My Family and Other Animals. She started her own semi-autobiographical sitcom Miranda in 2008. She has also starred in movies like Magicians, Spy. In 2012 she published her own book named Is It Just Me? where she has included life advice delivered in her own way. In the British Comedy Awards 2011, she was awarded "People's Choice Award for the King or Queen of Comedy".
