Sasha Roiz was born on 21st October 1973 in Tel Aviv, Israel under the birth sign Libra. He holds both Canadian and Israeli and is of mixed (Russian, English, French) ethnicity. He s the son of Jacob Roiz and Rima Roiz. His parents were Russian Jewish immigrants and still speaks Russian at their home.
Roiz family moved to Montreal, Canada in 1980. He studied history and pursued his career towards drama. He later attended the Guildford School of Acting in Guilford, Surrey. He was a drummer for the indie-rock band, Tricky Woo.

In 2004, Roiz debuted the movie, The Day After Tomorrow. He appeared with Jake Gyllenhaal, Emmy Rossum, Dennis Quaid, Sela Ward and Dash Mihok in the movie.
Roiz then appeared in several other movies and series including Assualt on Precinct 13, Land of the Dead, Man of the Year, and Pompeii. He also appeared in popular TV series such as Playmakers, Show Me Yours, G-spot, and The Jane Show and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Roiz earned popularity appearing in the series, Caprica in 2010. He portrayed Sam Adana in the series. He was cast alongside Alessandra Torrresani, Esai Morales, Eric Stoltz and Paula Malcomson in the series.
In 2017, Roiz worked in a TV series named, Salvation portraying President Monroe Bennett. The series premiered on July 12, 2017, on CBS network.
