An American former basketball player, Scottie Pippen has played in the National Basketball Association. Nicknamed "Pip, he is remembered for his notable appearance with Chicago Bulls from where he began his career and rose to fame as well. He was the NBA All-Star winner for seven times and was named as one of the 50 greatest Players of NBA. Apart from his professional career, he has married twice and had eight children altogether.

The reason for their separation was Larsa’s cheating on Scottie with rapper Future. Even after the split, Larsa and Scottie have good bonds and still talk to each other for the sake of their children.

Pippen filed for divorce in October 2016. As per their divorce agreement, they shared their assets worth $120 million. Pippen decided to take over the custody of all his children. Moreover, the ex-couple remained good friends, even if they got separated.

As of 2017, the pair called off their engagement and were spotted at a family lunch in Beverly Hills and showing the world that they are trying to get back together. But yet the couple are not together.

As of 2007, Pippen sued Christian Laettner (retired American basketball player) in the case of investing and buying the Memphis Grizzlies which he won in 2010. It also seems that Laettner owes $600k to Pippen which he did not return. As a result, the judge gave the decision in the favor of Pippen with $2.5 million to be received but he has not yet received the amount.

In the late 1990s, Pippen was charged with the domestic battery including his ex-fiancé Deleone in Highland Park but he was not found not guilty. As of 2013, Pippen assaulted a common man, Cameron Shafighi at the Malibu restaurant Nobu later for which he was charged for $4 million by the LA Superior Court and the victim was taken to the hospital for the treatment.

Besides, Pippen earned $67.2 million after singing a five year contract with Chicago Bulls in 1998-1999 season. In 2003, he also signed a two-year contract with the same team for $10 million. He again signed another five years contract with Houston Rockets with $67 million. Career

Pippen began his professional career in basketball after being drafted in the 1987 NBA draft by the Seattle SuperSonics (an American professional basketball team) who was traded to the Chicago Bulls. He then became one of the young Chicago forward tandems with Horace Grant who came off as a back up to Brad Sellers and Charles Oakley.

On 7th November 1987, Pippen made his debut from the Bulls in the first game of the season against Philadelphia 76ers in which he made his team win the match with the score of 10 points and 1 rebound. In the team, he became close to his fellow player, Michael Jordan with whom he used to practice and enhance his skills.

In the 1988 NBA Playoff, Pippen appeared as a Bull’s young forwards and made his career’s highest score with 16.5 points. His work helped him earn the NBA All-Star selection in the year 1990. He then supported his team in the Conference Finals in 1989-1990. He along with the team could not win the match in 1990 due to his migraine problem.

In the NBA season, 1990-91, Pippen appeared as the Bull’s primary defensive stopper and a scoring threat in the triangle offense of Phil Jackson. In the same season, he achieved his career’s first triple-double while playing against Angeles Clippers. The team won the match with the 105-97 score in the match.

While playing against Charlotte Hornets, he gave the season’s best score with 43 points, which made the team win with the score 129-108. He was honored as NBA All-Defensive Second Team for his contributions.

In 1991, among 9 players, Pippen was also selected as a member of the United States men’s Olympic basketball team. Later, he represented his country at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona.

In 1996-97 NBA season, Bulls opened with a 17-1 record and had a league-best record of 42-6 entering in the All-Star break. Pippen and Jordan became one of the NBA’s 50 Greatest Players in the 50th season of the league's celebration. 

Head Coach, Phi Jackson of the Chicago Bulls was honored as on one of the 10 greatest coaches in NBA history. For his great effort in the season 1996-97, Pippen earned NBA All-Defensive FirstTeam and All-NBA Second Team honors. In the same year in 1996, he alongside fellow players Karl Malone, John Stockton, Charles Barkley, Grant Hill and Anfrenee ‘’Penny’’ Hardaway participated in the 1996 Olympic as a team.

In 1999, in the exchange of Stacey Augmon, Walt Williams, Carlos Rogers, Brian Shaw and Kelvin Cato, Pippen was traded by the Houston Rockets to the Portland Trail Blazers where he played the position as small forward.

In 2000-01 NBA season, Pippen played almost 64 games and later missed other 18 games due to his right arm injury. Playing several times with Portland Trail Blazer, he made his return to his old team Bulls in the season 2002-03 and eventually began to play by winning six championships.

On 5th October 2004, Pippen announced his retirement from the team and after a year Pippen gave his jersey number in a ceremony reuniting alongside Michael Jordan, Phil Jackson, Horace Grant and Dennis Rodman.

After the retirement, in 2007 Pippen announced his return to NBA to grab his 7th Championship ring. At the age of 42, he made his return with the team Sundsvall Dragons and won various matches.

In 2010, Pippen made his return to his team, Bulls as a team ambassador and played 2011 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game with his former dream team member, Chris Mullin. Scottie Pippen was born Scottie Maurice Pippen on 25th September 1965 in Hamburg, Arkansas with the birth sign Libra. He is American and belongs to African-American ethnicity. Pippen was raised by his parents, Ethel and Presto Pippen (worked in a paper mill) along with his 11 siblings.

Pippen finished his schooling at Hamburg High School. His parents could not afford to send him to the college, as his father was paralyzed. His father used to work in a paper mill until a stroke paralyzed his right side, prevented him from walking and affected his speech as well. He was not offered any scholarships in the college.

Pippen started his playing career at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. He was discovered by then-UCA Head coach, Don Dyer as a 6 feet 1-inch walk-on.

From the very early age, Pippen began to play basketball and earned all-conference honors as a high school senior. Later, he played for his college after being discovered by the head coach named, Don Dyer.

Pippen then started playing in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) but did not receive much of the recognition. He did not give up and kept on playing.
