The Dubai police confirmed her death was accidental on Monday. The police said,

Following the completion of post-mortem analysis, #DubaiPolice today stated that the death of Indian actress #Sridevi occurred due to drowning in her hotel apartment's bathtub following loss of consciousness.

The police have also confirmed that they handed over the case to Dubai's public prosecution office to further investigation and procedures.

Mr. Bachchan wrote the tweet Saturday morning (IST), hours before Sridevi died. And now the fans have been speculating either Big B had a premonition or he was informed of her untimely death.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also conducted his condolences to Sridevi's family on Sunday morning, saying he was saddened by her ''untimely demise.''
