Jillion Potter who is an American rugby professional and the captain of the 2016 USA Olympic women's rugby is really a fighter. Even after struggling with stage III cancer we have always seen her dedicated to the work and living her life to the fullest.   

It's all because of the full support and love from her wife Carol Fabrizio whom she married in 2013. To know more about the couple, their relationship stay with us.  

Jillion Potter: Her Married Life with Wife Carol Fabrizio

Jillion is openly gay and does not hesitate to talk about her sexuality. She met her life partner Carol in the year 2011 and are happily together ever since. 

It is said that the lesbian partners married in the year 2013 at a very private ceremony.

Since they live a very private life they do not prefer to share their personal life and only limited information is available but one thing we can say for sure is they are living a happy life together. 

Jillion Potter: The Cancer Survivor

Potter is no ordinary rugby player. The United States Women's Eagles star has fully recovered a broken neck and fought with cancer winning a place at the Rio Olympics.

She expressed,

"There is a picture of me a year ago, bald, standing with my teammates, and I think: 'Wow. How far have you come?'"

She further explained the heart rendering moment:

"Until we got the biopsy results, you can’t help but keep that part of hope alive — maybe it’s some weird cyst or a bizarre scar-tissue thing. But it’s not. It’s same cancer."

Jillian credited her wife Carol for helping her overcome the life-changing trauma to the fullest.

A synovial sarcoma is a rare form of cancer. She beat the cause with all strength and support from her better-half within two years of struggle.

Jillion Potter: See Her Career

Jillion is the captain of the 2016 USA Olympic women's rugby sevens team. Initially, Potter began playing rugby at the University of New Mexico after playing basketball in high school.

She was one of the members of the Women's Junior All-Americans six months later. She made her Women's Eagles debut in 2007.

She won a bronze with the team at Rugby World Cup Sevens 2013 in Moscow, Russia and represented the Eagles at Women's Rugby World Cup 2014 in France. 

As she was diagnosed with stage III synovial sarcoma, she missed the 2014-15 Women's  Sevens Series. She, however, returned with a bang to the Olympic Training Center for the 2016 Olympic Summer Games.
