White House staff secretary Rob Porter has resigned from his post after series of abuse allegations from his ex-wives, Colbie Holderness, and Jennifer Willoughby, calling the ''outrageous allegations are simply false.''
White House has been supporting Porter initially, however, after the second bombshell published in Daily Mail, Porter left the White House himself while still protesting his innocence. Porter said in a statement on Wednesday,
These outrageous allegations are simply false. I took the photos given to the media nearly 15 years ago and the reality behind them is nowhere close to what is being described.
He added,
I have been transparent and truthful about these vile claims, but will not further engage any publicly with a coordinated smear campaign.
Porter further said,
My commitment to public service speaks for itself. I have always put duty to country first and retreated others with respect. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have served in the Trump Administration and will seek to ensure a smooth transition when I leave the White House.
Porter's first wife Colbie Holderness, 37, told on the record to DailyMail about her abusive five-year-long marriage to Porter where she also detailed the physical and mental abuse.
Holderness said that her husband had kicked her on their honeymoon in the Canary Island in 2003. She also claimed he punched her in her face when they were on holiday in 2005 in Florence, Italy. Ms. Holderness also provided her photo with a black eye to Daily Mail.
In the record, Holderness also claimed that Porter broke down her confidence so badly that led her to take an extended leave from grad school.
Holderness' accusation has been followed by Porter's second wife, Jennifer Willoughby who has also accused Porter of verbal and physical abuse in an exclusive interview with Daily Mail Tuesday evening.
In the interview, Jennifer explained how Porter dragged her wet and naked out of the shower and also revealed he was verbally abusive who called her a ''f***ing b***h' on their honeymoon.
