Kandi Burruss probably had no idea she would end up meeting the man she was going to marry through a TV show she starred in. Burruss is currently in a blissful married life along with a new addition to their family.

It's not unusual to see a couple falling in love on the sets of a show. It is, in fact, adorable when they take their relationship forward with the bond of marriage.

Kandi Burruss' Beautiful Married Life - Blessed With A Son

Kandi Burruss is married to her husband Todd Tucker. The couple tied the knot in 2014.

The pair first met on the sets of Real Housewives of Atlanta. They began going out on dates and eventually fell for each other. At the time, Todd worked as a line producer on the show while Kandi was one of the casts.

After dating for around two years, Todd popped up the question on the new year's eve of 2012. By January 2013, the lovebirds were engaged. Subsequently, they exchanged wedding vows 16 months later.     

Kandi walked down the aisle on 4th April 2014 in a Coming to America themed wedding. The ceremony took place in a family-owned venue in Atlanta.    

Speaking to In Touch on 5th April 2014, Kandi shared the excitement of her dream wedding. She said:

"This is one of the best days of my life! I never imagined that I would marry my best friend. Todd’s been that to me… And to have just had the wedding of my dreams, it’s all been so beautiful. Now it’s time to party!"

Burruss spoke to The Real back in 2015 where she spoke of her married life. She said:

"It took a second for me to get used to having a husband. When you’re used to making your own decision, and doing everything your way, I don’t even think to ask somebody else, ‘Oh well what do you think about that?’ It’s like ok, this is what we’re doing and then it’s like now I have to consider my husband’s feelings."

The couple shares a child together, a son named Ace Tucker who was born on 6th January 2016. Earlier, the pregnancy was announced in July 2015.

In addition, Kandi has a daughter named Riley Burruss with her former boyfriend Russell Spencer. Likewise, Todd too has a daughter named Kaela Tucker from his previous relationship. Kandi also dated Ashely Jewell prior to his death.

Meanwhile, Todd once faced allegations of cheating on his wife which turned out to be false. Despite a few ups and downs, the pair stayed together and stuck by each other through thick and thin. The entire family of five currently resides in Atlanta.

Kandi Burruss' Career  

Kandi began her career at the age of 15. She appeared on the BET series titled Teen Summit. She followed this by co-writing her debut single “There You Go” along with Pink back in 2000.

The same year, Burruss became the first African-American woman to win the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers’ Songwriter of the Year award. On 29th October 2009, Kandi released her first extended play, the Fly Above EP.
