The famous author is married to former president Obama's chef Sam Kass. Sam has been cooking for the Obama family since the 2000s. While she was working with MSNBC, she attended White House events very often and met her future husband.  

Reports claim that Kass invited one of his MSNBC's friend to a party where he could introduce him to Wagner. Things hit off really quickly as Kass and Wagner discovered many similarities between them after their first date.

Thing went really fast since their first date but the couple managed to keep it low-key as possible. They were quietly dating in 2012 and the speculations began when she wore an engagement ring on her show in 2013.

The couple tied the knot on 30 August 2014 according to The Washington Post in Pocantico Hills, New York and America's former president Barack Obama was present at the wedding with wife Michelle Obama and their two beautiful daughters, Sasha Obama and Malia Obama.

Obama's plan to attend the wedding was an open secret for days but was confirmed when he showed up at their wedding at 7 p.m. accompanied by his entire family.

Sam confirmed on his twitter about their child Cy who was born on July 21, 2017.

Sam is active on his Instagram and often uploads pictures with his son and Alex.

He also shared a picture of his adorable son holding a beer bottle. Looks like the father should be a little concerned about his 1-year-old son as he is trying to drink from a beer bottle at 7 in the morning. 

While Kass was cooking for the Obamas, he was also employed as Obama's Senior Policy Advisor for Nutrition Policy but left the White House in last 2014 and was employed as a senior food analyst at NBC by 2015.

Alex Wagner's Rise To Stardom

The 40-years-old American journalist is the host of MSNBC's "NOW with Alex Wagner" since 2010. 

She was the executive director of Not On Our Watch which is an advocacy and non-profit organization founded by actors Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, George Clooney and Don Cheadle from 2007 to 2009.
