The 24-year-old Canadian singer Bieber and model Hailey Baldwin, 21, became engaged over the weekend. People confirmed that the couple got engaged on Saturday at a restaurant in the Bahamas.
While the couple is yet to confirm the news, their parents already seem to celebrate their engagement. Hailey's father, Stephen Baldwin, 52, congratulated the couple on their happy moment in a tweet where he also mentioned he and his wife, Kennya were over the moon for their relationship.

On the other hand, Justin's father, Jeremy Bieber took to his Instagram sharing a picture of his son which showed him standing on a beach during sunset. "@justinbieber Proud is an understatement! Excited for the next chapter!," wrote Jeremy alongside the photo.

The news comes less than a month after they were speculated to have rekindled their romance following their breakup in 2016. They dated for over a year since Bieber's split with his ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez. They sparked their reconciliation rumor after they packed on PDA during their trip to Miami, NYC, and the Hamptons.
Bieber and Gomez broke up back in March, just months after they reunited as a couple. They started dating in 2010 and were in an on and off the relationship before breaking up in 2014.
Meanwhile, Gomez, 25, seems unaffected of the engagement news of her ex-boyfriend. In an Instagram post shared by her friend and assistant Theresa Mingus, she can be seen all grinning on a yacht.
Recently, in an interview with The Times, Baldwin talked about her relationship with the Sorry singer. She said,
Justin and I were friends for a long time.
She continued,
I met him when I was really young and he was one of my best friends. Everybody knows that at a certain point in time that turned into something else, but that just happens when you’re 18, 19. It was what it was … We didn’t speak for quite some time and there was a lot of weirdness that went on … we’ve moved past that.
Shortly before Baldwin started dating Bieber, she was rumored to be in a relationship with another Canadian singer Shawn Mendes. However, in May 2018, Baldwin confirmed her relationship with Mendes was nothing more than a rumor.
