Ava Eliot Jackman is known as a daughter of the Broadway stage icon, an Academy nominee actor, Hugh Jackman.
Know her relationships with her celeb father and the awkward moment the father-daughter duo has been in.
Ava Eliot Jackman's Relationship With Her Father Hugh Jackman
Ava Eliot Jackman is the daughter of an Australian actor, Hugh Jackman, who is popularly known for portraying the role of Wolverine in the X-men franchise. Jackman doesn't need much introduction prior to his success in Hollywood.
But, what isn't much known about the actor is his off the record life. For the Australian heartthrob's fans, it may come as quite a surprise given the fact that Ava isn't the biological daughter of Jackman and his wife Deborah-Lee-Furness.
Contrary to Ava's father's success in the film career, things didn't go well for the actor when he decided to start a family with Deborah.
The couple initially had problems conceiving the child of their own. It was reported that his wife Deborah-Lee-Furness had a couple of miscarriages. Nevertheless, the duo completed the family portrait by adopting a daughter, Ava Eliot and a son, Oscar; indeed one for each.
Jackman and Deborah's adopted daughter Ava Eliot Jackman originally of Mexican and German descent aged 13 is now quite old enough to have heed of some tabloids every time she is seen with her father.
Apart from being a beloved Hollywood hunk, Jackman is also equally adored for his down-to-earth persona off-camera. So it is obvious to say that Jackman shares a perfect father-daughter relationship with Ava.
Hugh Jackman's Rule Of Life; Not Staying Away From Family
Hollywood is filled with troubled relationships. Be it between one figure and another or actors and actresses' bond with their children. However, given the cordial nature of Hugh Jackman, he seems to be doing rather good for a celebrity daddy.
In fact, Hugh Jackman credits the secret behind his equally successful family relation to the everyday moments and 'not remaining apart from wife and children for more than two weeks' rule.
The latter which he adheres to by heart. Jackman claims his daughter has helped him reappraise what's important outside his Hollywood career.
In an interview with Parade Magazine, the actor said,
"The things that I really cherish are the everyday moments, like sitting around cooking pancakes together on Sunday morning, or getting home after a tough day and my kids come up and give me a hug and remind me what's really important."
It's not unusual for actors and actresses to give love scenes in a movie. Some say it's just a job and get on with it. But the clumsiness eventually gets them one way or another. Unfortunately, in Jackman's case, it dragged his daughter into one of those situations.
While watching one of his movies, 'X-men: Days of future past', Hugh confessed he forgot to warn Ava about his naked scene. He said to the Daily Mercury,
"It is actually really cool to watch it (the film) with them until you get to the moment you're naked onscreen and you forgot to warn your almost 9-year-old daughter. And she says, 'Dad, why aren't you wearing underwear?"
Jackman added,
"You have no idea what goes into the lead up to a scene like that. It was a year ago. I know because it was May 21. I stopped drinking water for 21 hours, I pumped up on set for about an hour before shooting. And fell asleep by 2 o'clock."
So far, the 50-year-old actor has proved himself as one of the most loyal husbands having remained married to a single woman for 21 years. And he seems to be doing fine with his children, too. When not being busy with the camera, you can find Jackman with his daughter, Ava posing arm-in-arm in almost every get-aways, beaches and often terminals.
