Amber Ruffin and her husband Jan has set a good example among all of us. Not just being an interracial couple, they have been supportive in each and every part of their life.
Ruffin and Jan first met in 2008 when both were scheduled to visit New York City.
During an interview, she said,
"We were outside a bar and started talking on the street. He asked me what part of Amsterdam I was living in, and I didn’t know the name of my neighborhood."
They went on a date after a week later in Amsterdam. They dated for about two years and tied the knot in 2010.
As no one cared about them being an interracial couple in Holland, they started their conjugal life happily. A year after getting married, they moved to Los Angeles.
Though we live in the 21st century; a modern age, issue of discrimination still exist.
She said,
"I would go so far as to say that I did not prepare my husband for being white in America and being married to a black woman."
"This is what our relationship has become: I am old and used to being treated badly, and he is new and having none of it."
Ruffin clearly stated that she's been facing discrimination and her husband eventually understood how he felt like biased in real.
She once tweeted about her husband threatening to divorce her. We are sure it's nothing but just an attempt to grab media attention.

Ruffin started her professional career in local theaters in 2001 and later moved to Chicago at the iO Theater.
In 2011, she moved to Los Angeles and joined the YouTube comedy team RobotDown. She appeared on an episode of Key & Peele.

She gave an audition to be the part of Saturday Night Live in 2014 but she was hired by Seth Meyers to write the Late Night with Seth Meyers. In addition to that, she is also working for the Comedy Central show Detroiters.
Ruffin is a narrator on a Comedy Central show Drunk History. She was nominated for a Writers Guild of America award in the category "Comedy/Variety Series".
