Motive Behind Andy Ruiz Weight Loss

The first heavyweight winner of Mexican descent aka Andy Ruiz is all prepared for his upcoming game with Anthony Joshua which will take place in Saudi Arabia at the end of the first week of December. And upon the game happening two months later, Ruiz has already sent challenges to Joshua with an impressive weight loss transformation.

In his words, he threatened the British boxer that he will be 'lighter, faster, and more powerful' to defeat him. He already defeated Joshua on their last match in June which was held at Madison Square Garden leaving all the audience and the whole world watching the game completely shocked at his win.

Ruiz Strictly Followed A New Diet

As for the American born Mexican boxer, it was the magic and determination he kept towards a new diet he adopted according to the suggestion of his nutritionist, Zo's Meal Plans for weight loss, but especially for the preparation of the game.

Zo's Meal Plans who is also a chef expresses that Ruiz highly started consuming more healthier. More fruits and vegetables were added to his table. But, the father of five children wasn't kept on a strict though, as his nutritionist explains that he occasionally had his favorite indulgence every once in a while.

Ruiz's team also made sure to provide him food on an equal portion to keep the balance. Interestingly, he never had to stay hungry or starve like a lot of people who tend to do so on their diet. His nutritionist would actually let him eat anytime he would be hungry as he would grow grumpy.

Not to mention, his team usually fed him chicken to make sure Ruiz had enough protein that his body needed. Needless to say, his breakfast would consist of omelet accompanied by mushrooms, avocado, and spinach. Likewise, lunch would be followed by a chicken wrap or salad. As he snacked over nuts and fruits, his night would end with steak, fish, rice, or chicken.

With having tacos on his cheat meal plan every weekend, Ruiz had no issues maintaining his diet. The boxer, however, took his diet seriously which makes it obvious on the reason how he lost more than 10 kg in recent months.

On the other side, Andy Ruiz's dramatic weight loss has received both appreciation and criticisms. Whilst his supporters are happy with his new lean shape, some critiques claim his weight loss to fight with new styles was not necessary.
