Master of Sex stars Sarah Silverman and Michael's offscreen romance has come to an end after four years of relationship. Silverman, 47, confirmed her separation from the Welsh actor, 49, on Twitter on Monday, 5th February.
Sarah used the phrase that Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin described their separation with, to announce her separation from Sheen.
The great @michaelsheen & I consciously uncoupled over Christmas. I mean, not “over Christmas” - like that wasn’t the fight that ended it. No fight. We just live in different countries & it got hard. Felt we should just tell y’all so u stop askin, “How’s Michael/How’s Sarah?”

Sarah said they didn't separate because of any dispute; rather it was the distance. Sheen has been residing in the UK due to his work while Silverman works in America which happens to be the major cause of their split.
On Tuesday, 6th Feb. the comedian again took to Twitter to joke about the coincidence where she said,
The joke here is I just realized I posted our breakup tweet on his actual birthday and I can't believe what a dick I am.
She added,
Can you believe it?? He said I wasn't thoughtful. Jerk... Anyway, Happy Birthday, Michael...
In last June, Silverman talked about their long-distance relationship with her ex-boyfriend Jimmy Kimmel on his late-night show. Then, she said,
I call him my on-again lover because we're apart by oceans. One ocean. I'm not really sure.
She further explained Sheen had stayed in the United States to be near his daughter Lily, however, moved back to England after his daughter headed off to college at New York University.
The pair first met on the sets of Sheen's Showtime series Masters of Sex and started dating while filming for the same series.
