Garth Brooks' Married Life With Country Singer Trisha Yearwood

CMA-winning country legend Garth Brooks, 56, has been married to his current wife Trisha Yearwood for 12 years.

We are kind of charmed by the lovely relationship of the pair as Brook calls his wife by the nickname 'Queen'. It's really cool to see the professional partners and longtime friend get an opportunity to move on the same track for the entire lifetime.

Brooks and Yearwood are now country music's most powerful couple but having a look at their past, they knew each other when both of them didn't have a single singing project.

During an interview on the Ellen Degeneres show in 2013, Garth spilled the beans on how they met and became friends.

The couple first met in the year 1987. Garth met his future wife a year later he married his first wife Sandy Mahl. It was the time when Yearwood was also married to musician Chris Latham.

He explained,

"It's strange because I felt that feeling like when you just meet your wife, but I'd been married [to Sandy Mahl] for 13 months."

Following the release of his first album and it's success, the two friends went on a tour together. They even collaborated on duets like 'In Another's Eyes' and 'Like We Never Had a Broken Heart'.

In the year 2000, the country music sensation retired in order to be with his daughters. By the time, his now wife, Trisha divorced her first husband, remarried and again separated from her second husband, Bobby Reynolds

Brooks filed for divorce with his wife in 2001 and soon the pair came close to one another.

They were spotted walking hand in hand at a memorial service for Nashville songwriter Harlan Howard. They made several public appearances; sometimes at restaurants and some major events.

The couple has one of the most romantic events to remember their whole life. Garth went down his knees in front of about 7000 people, removed his hat and proposed his love at Hee Haw star Buck Owens' Crystal Palace, a country music venue in California in 2005.

Eyes filled with tears of joy, Trisha said yes and the friends turned to be something very special to the day.

The couple has every possible reason to celebrate their togetherness. Talking about their romantic love life on TODAY, Yearwood said,

"I'm like, 'Garth, we've been married for 12 years; we've known each other for 26 years. You can call me 'Trisha.' Like, it's cool."

She explained,

"But he still does it, and now he has other people doin' it. Like, 'So what does the Queen think?"

They tied the knot on 10 December 2005 at their Oklahoma home surrounded by four family members.

One of the most special things about the pair is, they don't miss a single chance to adore their relationship via social media. See the lovely couple in the Instagram post below:
