Patricia Helen Heaton was born on March 4 of 1958 in Bay Village, Ohio. She was the daughter of Chuck Heaton, who was a famous sportswriter for The Plain Dealer. She grew up in a Catholic family with four siblings: Alice Heaton, Frances Heaton, Sharon Heaton, and Michael Heaton, who passed away in September 2022 at 66 years old. Sadly, she was 12 years old at the time her mother passed away from an aneurysm.
