Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein has been accused of sexual harassment by one more woman. Polish model, referred to only as Jane Doe alleged the Hollywood producer of forcing her to touch his penis while she was 16.
The model further alleged Weinstein of harassing her for years and subjecting her to emotional abuse.
Doe filed the case against Weinstein in a civil court on Wednesday where she claimed the alleged incident happened at his New York City apartment in 2002, just days after they met at an event.
Doe said the 66-year-old producer promised to take her to lunch to discuss her career in film line, but instead took her to his SoHo apartment and "aggressively" demanded sex.
Weinstein allegedly told her to take off her clothes and intimated that she would never work as an actress unless she gave in to his demands. The filing said,
Terrified and struggling to hold back tears, Jane Doe said she would not and resisted his demands.
It further stated,
Jane Doe was a virgin, and had no intention or understanding when she agreed to a business lunch that she would be put in this alarming position.
Meanwhile, Weinstein denied all the accusations through his lawyer Benjamin Brafman who called the allegations "preposterous." Brafman said,
Eventually, just as others have been exposed to be liars, this uncorroborated allegations that is almost 20 years old will be shown to be patently false.
Over 70 women have accused Weinstein of sexual harassment, a misdemeanor, and rape since last one year. A New York Times and the New Yorker's article detailing the harassment allegations against him last later sparked the #MeToo movement which has brought several celebrities and struggling actors speaking against the wrongdoing from the renowned Hollywood stars.
Doe's allegations were placed in a lawsuit involving 10 named plaintiffs which also includes a woman who released a video in September revealing Weinstein boldly propositioning her during a 2011 business meeting hours. "Her decision to join the lawsuit is a brave one," said Jane's lawyer Elizabeth Fegan.
