Nick Schifrin's Career
During college days, Schifrin worked for The Columbia Daily Spectator. Since then, he has worked for various News agencies including ABC News, Al Jazeera, etc. In 2002, Schifrin worked as an overnight desk assistant for ABC News. In 2006, Schifrin was involved in launching the first webcast. He worked as a writer and broadcast producer for the show.
In 2007, he moved to New Delhi, India. There, he served as an ABC News reporter. He also interviewed Dalai Lama in 2008. He has also won a Business Emmy for covering the worldwide food crisis with his team. Schifrin was one of the first reporters who arrived at the scene of the Mumbai 26/11 attacks. He also helped ABC news to uncover Bin Laden's death straight from Pakistan.

In 2012, Schifrin moved to London and worked as a correspondent there featuring stories from Europe and Northen Africa. Following next year, in 2013, Schifrin got an opportunity to become the first foreign correspondent of Al Jazeera. He took the opportunity and resided in Jerusalem and covered mainly the Middle East.
He also covered Ukraine violence and won the award, National Headliners, for it. In 2015, he filed more than 50 stories straight from the war in Gaza. He and his team won the Overseas Press Club's David Kaplan Award for the coverage. Schifrin currently works as PBS NewsHour's foreign and defense correspondent currently.
