A Haitian-American professional boxer who is better known for his nickname as Beast and is two-time National Golden Gloves champion, a WBC Welterweight Champion and IBF Welterweight Champion. After he was beaten multiple times by his classmates, his father introduced him to boxing. He started his career in boxing by winning bronze medal in World Amateur Championships. He was also qualified in US Olympic boxing squad in 2004 Olympic. But unfortunately he was disqualified after he threw his opponent to canvas. Between 2004 to 2006 he won 15 fights, with 13 coming by way of knockout. He was also named as ESPN.com’s 2006 Prospect of the Year.
