An American singer-songwriter, musician, and multi-instrumentalist whose real name is Anne Erin "Annie" Clark and better known as a band member of the Polyphonic Spree. She was just 12 years old when she started playing guitar. In 2001 she graduated from Lake Highlands. After graduating she attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. She also joined Glenn Branca's 100 guitar orchestra in 2004. "Marry Me" was her first debut album released in 2007. She has also collaborated with artists like Andrew Bird, Arcade Fire, and Kid Cudi. her album Slant Magazine won the Grammy award for Best Alternative Album.
