Canosa also alleged that Weinstein physically assaulted her and verbally abused her over the period of five years. She detailed her allegations in the court documents filed in the Manhattan Supreme Court on Monday where she said, Weinstein,

Constantly threatened and made it clear that if she didn't succumb to his demands for sexual contact or if she exposed his unwanted conduct there would be retaliation, including humiliation, the loss of her job and loss of any ability to work in the entertainment business.

Canosa said Weinstein first assaulted her in 2010 at the Tribeca Grand Hotel. She alleged the harassment continued until September 2017; weeks before the first news broke about his misconduct with other women in the Hollywood.

Weinstein's attorney, Phyllis Kupferstein has denied all the allegations that Canosa made. Weinstein said in a statement to CNN on Tuesday which read:

Ali Canosa was a friend who had worked for The Weinstein Company for 10 years, traveled the world for the company and held several influential roles; overseeing many projects throughout the years.

He continued,

From someone who has been thought of as a good friend, involved only in a consensual relationship, these claims are not only mystifying to Mr. Weinstein, but deeply upsetting, and they cannot be supported by the facts.

The Shakespeare in Love producer was first accused of sexual harassment by three women in November last year. After this, several other women including the actresses like Ashley Judd, Cara Delevigne, Angelina Jolie. However, Weinstein has declined all the allegations made against him.

However recently in November 2018, there was news that the Manhattan district attorney had decided not to call on a critical witness further in the case.
