But one day, following his profession as an actor for fifteen years, Carter decided to leave everything behind and focus over his other hobbies which meant teaching.

Since he left the glamor world behind, Carter never looked back. Carter is indeed working as a teacher. The theatre actor has been involved as a secondary English and Classic teacher at the Ofsted-rated Alexandra Park School in Bidwell Gardens.

Carter's students are also fully aware of the fact that their teacher's history. Like how cool is that? Of course, most of his students are too young to know about his role in Pride & Prejudice. But his role as the Hot Room Doctor in James Bond movie's franchise; Casino Royale co-starring Daniel Craig, is enough for them to take the notice.

Besides, although acting doesn't pay teachers well, Carter is fully satisfied with the teaching job that pays him well enough to feed his family. Carter, in fact, is also married to a teacher, his wife, Katherine Julian Dawnay, the mother of his four children, all sons.

Crispin and Katherine who has been happily married for more than a decade are parents to Stanley Peter Bonham-Carter, Christopher Ruan Bonham-Carter, Arthur Thomas Patrick Bonham-Carter, and Frank Douglas Bonham-Carter.
