A Japanese couple got arrested after police discovered severely malnourished and frozen body of 33-year-old woman, Airi Kakimoto!

The officials further found that she had been locked inside a tiny room for almost 15 years, in extremely cold condition, which ultimately led to the death of Airi.

 A terrible incident struck Tokyo when the Osaka police department found the dead and malnourished body a of 33-year-old daughter of Japanese couple, Yasutaka Kakimoto, 55 and Yakuri Kakimoto, 53.

Police stated that the body of the victim was found in a detrimental condition, with extreme malnutrition. Her parents reported that she has been mentally ill and showed violent behavior for a long time and that was the reason why they locked her up in the room for fifteen years.

The parents themselves reported the death of Airi on Saturday and at the time of death she was 145cm (4.76 ft) tall and weighed just 19 kg (42lb).

"Our daughter was mentally ill and, from age 16 or 17, she became violent, so we kept her inside the room,"

stated the parents of the dead woman and now they've been taken into custody with claims of locking and killing their daughters.

Police also found surveillance ( about 10) cameras around the house and inside Airi's room. The room even had a double door, that could be unlocked from outside and a makeshift toilet with a water tank outside the room.

 The convicted parents also confessed that they fed their daughter only once a day and kept her locked 24/7. Airi died on December 18 but the parents reported the death only last Saturday. And when asked why they reported late the parents stated,

"We wanted to be together with our daughter,”

Further investigation of the case is yet to done and they are suspected to be in more serious charges.
