According to NBC News, the standoff started after the LA police tried to serve a warrant at home in the 2400 block of Harmony Place early Wednesday morning. Corbett reportedly claimed that he had weapons and threatened to kill the officers.
The officers reportedly spent five hours trying to convince Corbett to leave home before they entered the house where they found the suspect dead. Detectives didn't immediately disclose the investigation involving the warrant.

Corbett, 42, was convicted of trespassing into Bullock's West LA home in 2014. Then he was sentenced to 5 years probation and treatment at a mental health facility. Corbett was also given a 10-year protective order keeping him away from the actress.
