David is best known for his portrayal as White Josh in The CW comedy-drama series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend premiered on October 12, 2015.

The series was created by Rachel Bloom and Aline Brosh McKenna starring Vincent Rodriguez III, Santino Fontana, Pete Gardner, and Vella Lovell.

The third season of the series is scheduled to be premiered on 13 October 2017.

Similarly, he performed in a recurring role as Travis Moore in HBO comedy series Insecure. The series premiered on 9 October 2016 with a second season in July 2017.

It was declared that the show was renewed for a third season on 8 August this year.

Hull appeared in the 2017 film The Dark Tapes alongside Brittany Underwood.
