The bride, 39, a daughter of Grace DiStefano and Thomas C. DiStefano of Hauppauge in her glamorous gown, got down on the dance floor to do "the worm," a scene-stealing moment that sums up the spirited event.

Serving a dozen of weddings as an attendant, it was finally the big day for News 12 Long Island's DeStefano. She seemed so beautiful on the big day in a lavender three-quarter length gown.

And for the wedding party, "We had a lot of people to move around," said Cassara, who rented two full-size buses and several vans to transport guests from the ceremony to the reception. The bride and groom traveled in a white antique Rolls-Royce.

"I didn't have a traditional wedding party, but I wanted my family involved," said DiStefano, who, in lieu of bridesmaids, had a matron of honor, her sister, Diana Savarese, and a man of honor, her brother, Thomas DiStefano.

One of the most emotional moments of the night came when the bride invited her grandparents Elena and John Giordano, both 88, onto to the floor. The couple, celebrating their 66th wedding anniversary, danced to their own wedding song, "You Made Me Love You," recorded by Judy Garland. There wasn't a dry eye. That made the wedding party a superb than what it was required.

The groom, who changed from his tux into a white dinner jacket, was unsurprised by his bride's dance moves. "She gave that wedding dress a full workout," he said with a laugh. With a band, The Mystic, and a DJ, The Echo Agency, the dance floor was mobbed the entire night.

So there began the celebration of their married life. All we Let hope a happy married life to the couple!!

The beautiful couple started to share their love in the year 2012. It was Jamie Stuart, News 12's sports reporter who thought they might be a match, and asked DiStefano for her phone number to pass along. She refused. "I didn't know anything about basketball or him," DiStefano said. "I told Jamie to give him my email."

A witty note led to a first date, which, by both accounts did not go well. DiStefano asked Cassara what his "real" job was, aside from coaching a Division 1 basketball team. "In my mind, I thought I was a big deal, and in her mind, she was a big deal," Cassara said. "Our egos were crushed," he continued, but "we met our match." A few dates later, it was what it was meant to be. Now, both of them are very much optimistic and believe they are made for each other.

Finally, Elisa DiStefano writes "Marriage is wonderful. I am so blessed to have the best partner … and I truly am excited for every day. "

Since we learned that the Happy Birthday song makes him cry we changed it to the version he just heard watching the Madagascar movie (Happy Birthday to you, you live in a zoo) and it went much better! We didn’t do a party, just a fun low key day with family and Christian loved having some of his favorite people with him. And loved the icing and excavator on Grandma’s cake! Feel incredibly blessed to have this joyful two year old and a family that loves him so much (posted some pics in my story). I did have an epic mom fail involving making family members dress up like characters that Christian asked to have at his birthday...there is video that my family finds hilarious but I’m still too traumatized to share!
