When Kate started her career as an official broadcaster in CNN Newsource in 2007, she began dating Michael David Gershenson and got into a committed relationship.
After dating for quite a long time, the couple decided to take a further step in their relationship and got married on 30th May 2010.
Since then, they have been celebrating and cherishing their six years of togetherness and happiness with each other.
Also, there has not been rumors about the couple getting a divorce or having any extra-marital affairs with anyone.
As for now, they are living happily as a perfect family in Washington and their love and commitment to each other is praise-worthy.
Who is Michael David Gershenson?
Michael D. Gershenson is a NewYork-based Managing Director focused on U.S. real estate opportunities. He is responsible for all aspects of real estate investments, with a geographic focus on New York and Boston, as well as a product focus on retail and industrial properties.
Prior to joining Carlyle, he was with Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown’s mergers, acquisitions and corporate advisory group in New York where he specialized in real estate transactions.
Similarly, he has also received a B.S.B.A. from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.
Does the couple have any children?
The duo was flooded with happiness and joy when they found out that they were having a child together. On an interview with PEOPLE.com, Kate said:
“Words cannot describe how excited we are about starting our family. This has already been an incredible year for us, moving to New York and launching New Day and now we’re beginning the best chapter yet.”
On April of 2014, Kate publicly announced that she was expecting a child in September and soon the blessed couple welcomed their angel baby on 25th of September 2015 and named her Cecilia Eve Gershenson.
The 33-year-old mother also made a funny remark about how wonderful it would be to have pre-dawn company in her house. She quoted:
“I’m looking forward to having someone else in my house wake up before 3 a.m. with me”.
The family of three has been living a life of a dream.
Recently, on one of her live reports about a Syrian boy "Omran", Kate was seen getting emotional and holding back her tears when she described how the boy was rescued from a demolished home after an air bombing, losing his entire family in the rubble.
The anchor, who herself has a baby daughter, felt appalled and greatly disheartened by such mishap. Here's a video of her live reports on the Syria bombing incident.
After reporting the incident Kate emotionally quoted:
“What strikes me is we shed tears, but there are no tears here,” she observed as her voice cracked. “He doesn’t cry once. That little boy is in total shock. He’s stunned, inside his home one moment and the next, lost in the fury and the flurry of war and chaos. This is Omran. He’s alive. We wanted you to know.”
