Scott Walker, the most innovative and enduring songwriter of the 20th century, died on March 25. He was 76.

American-British singer and songwriter Scott Walker, who came in the limelight as the band member of 'The Walker Brothers' in the 1960s has died on March 25.

Scott was 76 when the record label '4AD' announced his death on Monday. Above all, the record company mentioned that he was survived by partner Beverly, daughter Lee Walker, and granddaughter Emmi-Lee.

Many of other remarkable artists already poured condolence on Scott's inevitable death. This includes Radiohead's Thom Yorke who gave tribute to Walker on his Twitter account.

Ohio native Walker rose to prominence with The Walker Brothers' "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore". The single reached number one in the UK.

Later on, Walker went to release 14 solo albums, along with critically acclaimed "Scott," "Scott 2," "Scott 3" and "Scott 4".

Label 4AD described him as "one of the most revered innovators at the sharp end of creative music, whose influence on many artists has been freely acknowledged."

The singer produced Pulp's 2001 album "We Love Life," and also put his talent to compose several others for cinema. More recently, he composed for Natalie Portman's 2018 film "Vox Lux."

The BBC staged a tribute to Walker's music at London's Royal Albert Hall in 2017, while the following year, Faber published a book of his lyrics, "Sundog."
