We eloped to Los Angeles and got married in a secret ceremony, and we are as excited as if we were still in high school."
Additionally, Aldrin posted photographs of the happy couple on their wedding day. Faur, 63, grinned while holding a bouquet of white and pink flowers while wearing a long-sleeved garment with delicate lace. Buzz wore a black bow tie and a tuxedo embellished with badges.
Aldrin, who rose to international fame when he went to the moon with Neil Armstrong during the 1969 Apollo 11 mission, had been married and divorced three times before marrying Faur, who, according to her Instagram page, is the executive vice president of Buzz Aldrin Ventures. According to her LinkedIn page, Faur has a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. She has reportedly had positions at the British chemical business Johnson Matthey and the California Hydrogen Business Council. The last time Aldrin's private life was in the news was in 2019 when he abandoned a lawsuit against his previous manager and two of his children, who had petitioned for guardianship of his affairs but withdrew their requests.
In the past, he has been wed to Joan Ann Archer (their marriage lasted from 1954 through 1974), Beverly Van Zile (1975 until 1978), and Lois Driggs Cannon (1988-2012).
