Becca Kufrin & Thomas Jacobs have a 2nd Engagement

It's a yes for the second time. Earlier this year in May, Becca Kufrin, 32, broke the gender norms and got down on her knee before her long-time beau Thomas Jacobs. Though it took Jacobs, 30, a few months, five months to be exact, the Bachelorette star has finally returned the favor and asked Kufrin to marry him. Jacobs went full fledge on the proposal and gave Kufrin a memory she will cherish for life.  

The 30-year-old television personality reportedly took Becca on a romantic getaway to San Diego over the weekend and popped the question during one of their many favorite activities. The Bachelorette star shared some snippets of their trip but kept the second proposal hidden from their millions of fans. "Quick getaway to one of our favorite places," Thomas wrote on the post, adding, "Ojai: The Valley of the Moon."   

The engagement news comes months after the publicist took the matter into her hand and put a ring on Jacob's finger. "In the ultimate plot twist. HE SAID YES," Kurfrin wrote in the post. She added, "we've been keeping this secret just between us and close family & friends for a while but we're so excited to shout it from the rooftops. I can't wait to do it all with you Tommy; thanks for making me the happiest girl alive. I love you to the moon & back."   

Becca addresses the criticism after she first proposed to Jacobs!  

Although Kufrin's bold move was applauded by most fans, many labeled the Bachelor in Paradise star as "desperate." Addressing the criticism on the podcast Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, Becca said, "I would never do this.' And its like its cool, but that's you. But why does it, as a female, make me desperate to want to propose to somebody." She added, "If Thomas in a week were to do the exact same thing, no one says he is desperate. The logic's not here."  

Thomas, too, took a stance on his part. Appearing on Kaitlyn Bristowe's podcast, Off the Vine, he said, "having a ring on your finger as a male, when your partner proposes to you as a female- you just feel like a bad b----." The now-betrothed couple met on the sets of Bachelor in Paradise in 2021. The duo had a rocky start, initially hitting it off and calling it quits during the finale.   

Becca and Thomas reignited their romance in October 2021 and have been together since then. The twosome's two engagements aren't the only milestones they are celebrating this year. Earlier this year, in July, the duo bought their first home together. "Officially co-home owners," Kufrin wrote on her Instagram. She adds, "Tommy is my new roommate, and Minno & Leo (pups) are now our new tenants."
