Former Arsenal and Real Madrid star Jose Antonio Reyes Dies in Traffic Accident at 35.
Ex-Arsenal and Real Madrid star Jose Antonio Reyes lost his life in a traffic accident. His previous club Sevilla FC confirmed the news via Twitter on Saturday.
- Spanish professional footballer José Antonio Reyes died in a car accident in Utrera, near Seville, Spain at 35.
- His 23-year-old cousin, Jonathan Reyes also died during the accident with a third person suffered the first-degree burn.
- His eldest son penned an emotional tribute to his father posting the final image clicked with him.
Reyes was killed just before midday on Saturday when his Mercedes Brabus S550V went off the A-376 motorway near Alcala de Guadaira.
The vehicle is supposed to have hit the concrete blocks on the way before flipping and bursting into flames. His cousin, Jonathan Reyes, 23, who sat at the back seat also died during the terrific accident.
A third person named Juan Manuel who successfully got out of the vehicle with 60 percent burn in his body was rushed to Virgen del Rocio hospital in Seville.

Reyes' 11-year-old son Jose Antonio Reyes Jr. paid an emotional tribute to his father posting the last image clicked with him. Jose Antonio Reyes Jr. is his eldest child with his ex-partner, Ana Lopez.
The message written in Spanish read,
'This is the last moment we spent together dad. That day you gave me advice as always, but today you have gone and are not coming back and it is a very difficult day for me. I was and always will be very proud of you daddy.'
'We didn't spend all the time we would have liked to together but only you and I know how much we loved each other. I know you will look after me from Heaven and I am never going to forget you. I love you dad.'
Further, he added:
'Thanks to everyone for the messages of support I'm receiving.'
Immediately after uploading the heartbreaking post, one wrote,
"Stay strong. Your father always had a smile that rubbed off on everyone around him. He will always watch over you from Heaven and he would want to see his son happy as you were when you were together. Now more than ever you must show him who you are and that you can go very far in life and make him feel proud of you."
Reyes made quite a name for himself as he started his career as a young player in Sevilla and made his professional debut for the club at the age of 16.

The Spanish professional footballer also played for Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, and Real Madrid. Arsenal expressed their grief in the untimely demise of the sports star saying Reyes was "a hugely popular figure at our club" who will always remain in their hearts.

Reyes left behind his wife Noelia Lopez whom he married in 2017 along with his three kids José Antonio Jr., Noelia, and Triana (from his past relationship).
A minute of silence will be observed at Saturday's Champions League paying tribute to Reyes as he's the first Spaniard winning the Premier League.
