Hollywood Icon Jessica Walter Is Dead At 80
American actress Jessica Walter who had a career span of more than fifty years passed away on 24th March.
Hollywood and the fans of Jessica Walter are mourning the death of the late actress who died on 24th March 2021.
Walter, best known for her roles in Play Misty as Evelyn Draper for Me and Arrested Development as Lucille Bluth, among many projects, was 80 when she took her last breath.
The death of the Emmy-winning actress was announced by her representatives and that she had died peacefully in her sleep at her Manhattan home.
Walter is left behind by her daughter Brooke Walter who serves at Fox Entertainment as SVP Drama Programming, the actress shared with her first husband, Ross Bowman.
Brooke shared a statement to share the sad news of her mother where she wrote, "It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of my beloved mom Jessica."
The statement further read, "A working actor for over six decades, her greatest pleasure was bringing joy to others through her storytelling both on screen and off. While her legacy will live on through her body of work, she will also be remembered by many for her wit, class and overall joie de vivre."
In addition, Walter's family also suggested that fans donate to Guiding Eyes for the Blind organization instead of offering flowers.
Walter began her acting career as a theatrical actress before she debuted on Robert Rossen's Lilith as Laura and on NBC's series - Flipper as Elena. And for her role as Amy Prentiss in NBC's police drama of the same name, Jessica won an Emmy in the category of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series.
Not to mention, Walter was a four-time Emmy nominee and two times Golden Globe nominee for her appearance in Grand Prix and Play Misty for Me.
Jessica Walter was married two times. Her second and last marriage was to Ron Leibman with whom she remained married until his death. The couple shared no children.
