Renee Zellweger Criticizes 'Anti-Aging' Cosmetic Products | Defends Natural Aging
Renee Zellweger has been a household name in Hollywood for almost 30 years. Also, she is an outspoken critic of advertisement and product which claims to make women look younger than their age.
In a new interview with The Sunday Times, Renee Zellweger said she couldn't wait to turn 50. Also, the Oscar-winning actress spoke about her love for aging and wants to be much better than her younger self.
Furthermore, Renee called out 'garbage' anti-aging products and, while speaking with Christa D'Souza, told her she doesn't have amusement in being 23 again. The 53-year-old revealed she celebrated her 50th birthday in 2019 felt like getting a clean slate and loves getting older.
The lady said to The Sunday Times, "Turning 50 felt like a whole new begging without the nonsense, the point where you can stop listening to all those voices in your head and all those expectations and projections people have of you and become more authentically yourself."
In the past, Zellweger was surrounded by rumours that she used cosmetic surgery on her face. She is an active critic of advertisement and product which claims to make women look younger than their age.
Well, Renee denied the speculation and said to the Outlet," All those ads telling us we don't need to look our age if we just buy all their creams and their fixes and all that garbage they want to sell us? Im like what, you're saying I'm not valuable anymore because I'm 53?"
The Judy actress, who had taken a six-year break from acting in 2010, added," There is a big difference between being your absolute best, most vibrant self and wanting to be what you're not. To be vibrant and beautiful, you must embrace your age, otherwise you are living apologetically."
"Ok, so you want to look good? So go get your hair done or your skin fixed or have that day at the spa or whatever it is that makes you feel great. But let who you are what you contribute and how you represent yourself at that age lead," she said.

Not to mention, recently, Renee landed a role as Pam Hupp in Peacock's crime drama series The Thing About Pam. In the show, she also served as an executive producer and was chastised for wearing a padded suit to make her appear bigger.
All in all, age is just a number for Renee, and she believes in surviving a lot to get her age and earn her voice and power.
