One of the iconic wrestlers of Ring of Honor, Jay Brisco, dies in a fatal car crash at 38. A lot of wrestlers and fans poured their tributes to the late Brisco.
One of the iconic wrestlers of Ring of Honor, Jay Brisco, dies in a fatal car crash at 38. In a statement, ROH stated, "it is with a heavy heart that we mourn the tragic passing of Jamin Pugh and our thoughts are with his family, his friends and his fans."

The ex-WWE star, Matt Hardy, took on Twitter and talked about the devastation and being shocked to hear about the wrestler's death and how honored he was to have worked with him.
As per reports from the US Today, the Ring of Honor wrestler was one of the two persons who died in a car crash on Tuesday. Briscoe-real name Jamin Pugh was counted as a legend of professional wrestling and took over the Ring of Honor Promotion alongside his brother Mark Briscoe.

"Sadly, Jamin Pugh has passed away. Known to fans as Jay Briscoe, he was a star in ROH for over 20 years, from the first show until today. Jay and his brother Mark dominated ROH, reigning as champions to this day," Matt tweeted.
A few hours earlier, Mr. Briscoe tweeted a snap with his sibling celebrating their 13-year reign as tag team champions. The wrestling icon from the rival company WWE uploaded online of him writing," An incredible performer who created a deep connection with wrestling fans across the globe."

Similarly, AEW's superstar Kyle O'Reilly honored the late wrestler, tweeting," Jay Briscoe was the real deal. I was always amazed how someone could be so intimidating one moment and then so warm & affable the next.
Regarding the incident, Briscoe hadn't put on her seat belt while driving his 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 eastbound when another 2019 Chevrolet Silverado1500 entered the center line into Briscoe's lane, where they crashed.

The Silverado 1500's driver, 27-year-old Lillyanne Ternahan, was wearing a seatbelt but also died. Lillyanne and Briscoe were pronounced dead at the spot. At the time of the crash, Briscoe took his daughters, 9 and 12, to cheerleading practice.
In no time, the young girls were taken to the hospital, which was in a dangerous situation. It's not known if there was any sign of alcoholism that resulted in the crash. Mark and his brother were inducted into the inaugural class of the ROH Hall of Fame in 2022.
