The 61-year-old comic reassured her fans that she would continue her Not Dead Yet tour next year. She said she would rather "die on her feet" than kneel.

In the video, Janey can be heard saying that it may be the "final time" that she plays on stage. This comes after doctors informed her that cancer in her ovaries was still present in her abdomen.

"My recent scan and blood tests showed that my cancer marker increased higher," she explained. "My abdomen still harbors some of the sicknesses. As a result, I feel it is essential for you all to know that I will continue my chemotherapy."

Godley continued, saying, "I also want you to know that I will proceed with the tour in February and March. I am determined to get back on stage. You know me, and I've always been the type of person who believes that you should die on your feet rather than on your knees. As a result, I'm looking forward to going on the tour."

In addition, Janey said, "I believe it is fair and honest to suggest that it might be the final time you see me live on stage. I hope it isn't, but I believe it's a realistic assumption that it will be what we're looking at."

Godley continued by describing her plans for the tour and reiterating that despite the unfortunate news, the event would be full of excitement. There's going to be a lot of fun, and it's going to be a dream come true for me to get back on stage in February and March. I will not sing My Way because this tour will not be that kind.

The video was accompanied by the phrase, "Hello, everyone! An update: I wanted to let you know that I am excited to go on the tour in February and March. Thank you to everyone who has supported me.

In November 2021, Janey received the news that she had ovarian cancer. She underwent a complete hysterectomy in January 2022. After undergoing a hysterectomy and receiving the news that she no longer had cancer in April, she expressed gratitude to the NHS on Instagram.

Due to comic voiceovers of Nicola Sturgeon's Covid-19 news briefings, Godley gained widespread recognition during the pandemic. She expressed her gratitude. She said, "I want to thank everybody who supported me, everybody that sent me love, everybody who sent me so much strength and told me, you know, that they were thinking of me - thanks, thanks so much, you've no idea."

Janey has been quite vocal about her fight against cancer on social media, even going so far as to broadcast live streams from the hospital where she is currently being treated.
