Early Life and Education
The popular sportscaster was born on August 17, 1954, in Michigan. She attended the University of Michigan and completed her graduation in 1976.
Career
Joyce started her career when she was a teenager. She worked as a news anchor for KMGH-Tv and also worked a stint at Detroit’s NBC affiliate WDIV-TV channel 4.
The promising sportscaster joined CBS sports in 1989 and made her debut at U.S. Open Tennis Championships. She served as the co-host of the CBS sports and also hosted CBS’ early of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship and the Heisman Trophy Award Show.
After CBS she joined NBC Sports in 2000 and served as a reporter on the numerous number of events for NBC which also includes figure skating and short track speed skating. She served as the play-by-play woman for the rhythmic gymnastics in Athens. She also covered women’s water polo and football and contributed to the Sports Desk.
Currently, Joyce covers gymnastics and figure skating for NBC Sports and NBC Sports Update. During the 2010 Winter Olympics on NBC, she served as the reporter for short track and figure skating.
