Ben Batt was born on 28th November 1986 in Wigan, Greater Manchester, England, UK. He belongs to white ethnicity and holds a British nationality.
During his early teenage Batt was a rugby union player and used to play for Orrell, Lancashire and for England Schoolboys rugby teams. Later, he left the team, due to a serious injury and enrolled in acting.
Batt went to the London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Once in an interview, he recalled his past game days
“Talent scouts from Wigan Warriors’ academy came to watch me play, and I had the game of my life,”
“I scored four tries, and then in the last minute of the game, I went under the post and some guy came in and took my leg out. My ankle just went snap and after that, the doctors told me they didn’t think I could play again.”

Ben Batt began his acting career through the 2008 British medical drama series, Casualty. The same year, he worked in three TV series, Lewis, Spooks: Code 9, and Wire in the Blood.
Batt also made his big screen debuted in the 2008 drama, The Edge of Love. The following year, he appeared in British horror film, Salvage, alongside Neve McIntosh, Shaun Dooley, Linzey Cocker, and others.
After that, Batt grabbed his first major role in British comedy-drama series, Shameless as Joe Pritchard. In the series, he starred along with David Threlfall, Annabelle Apsion, Maggie O'Neill, Anne-Marie Duff, and others.
He then made his appearance in the number of movies, Weekender, Captain America: The First Avenger, Despite The Falling Snow, The Windmill Massacre, whereas his TV credits Accused, Accused, Prisoners Wives, In The Dark, and many more.
