Early Life
American actress, Candice Rene King was born as Candice Rene Accola on May 13, 1987, to Carolyn, an environmental engineer, and Kevin Accola, a Cardiothoracic surgeon. Her parents are active in the local Republican political party.
King was raised along with his brother Kree Thomas Accola in Edgewood, Florida. She went to Lake Highland Preparatory School in Florida.
Career
Candice Rene King began her career as a singer, in 2006 releasing her first album ‘It's Always the Innocent Ones,' where she co-wrote 12 songs. At first, the album didn't get critical acclamation, but when it released in Japan in 2008, it was a massive hit.
In 2008, King was cast in 3D concert film 'Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert.' However, her first acting debut was in 2007 with the TV series ‘How I Met Your Mother.'
Later she worked in Supernatural, Drop Dead Diva, Greek, Dating Rules. After appearing in some TV roles, King worked on horror film Deadgirl in 2009 and CW television series The Vampire Diaries where she portrayed the character of a Teenage Vampire, Caroline Forbes.
In 2012, she won the Teen Choice Award for Scene Stealer Female. Besides, King has worked on several short videos like; Myth & Mystery, The Perfect Love Triangle: Vampires, Werewolves, Witches, Howling at the Moon, Her Own Worst Enemy. She was also cast in the 9th season of Fashion Police in the 12th episode.

Candice King is happily married to her long-time boyfriend, Joe King who is a renowned guitarist, songwriter, backup singer and the co-founder of successful American rock band 'The Fray.'
The couple got engaged on May 29, 2013, and exchanged their vows on 18th October 2014 in New Orleans, Louisiana at an intimate ceremony.
The husband and wife are proud parents of a daughter, Florence May King (born on 15 January 2016). She also has two stepdaughters from Joe's previous marriage.
