Carrie Rachel Grace Brownstein is a musician, actress and writer, best known as a founding member of the rock band Sleater-Kinney, and was formerly member in the band Excuse 17. She graduated with an emphasis on socio-linguistics from The Evergreen State College, in 1997. In 2006, she became the only woman to reserve a position in the Rolling Stone readers' list of the "25 Most Underrated Guitarists of All Time".
Talking about her personal life, she is openly a lesbian. In 2010, during an interview for Willamette Week, she clearly stated herself of being bisexual. She once dated her fellow band mate lady with whom she was spotted quite often. Besides that she was often romantically linked with some of gorgeous ladies. These days she is single. Currently, she resides in Portland, Oregon.
