Catherine Astrid Salome Freeman commonly known as "Cathy Freeman" is an Australian sprinter. Currently, she is ranked as the sixth fastest woman of all time due to her personal best of 48.63. She won gold in both the 200 m and 400 m at the 1994 Commonwealth Games held in Canada and later in 1996 Olympics, she won a silver medal. She was born to Cecelia Freeman and Norman Freeman.
