Christopher French was born on April 23, 1982, in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. At an early age, he had a passion for music: he started playing the guitar around the age of 12 and experimented with tape machines and electronic instruments in his teens. In his formative years, he toured with several alternative rock bands, including The Why Game and Annie Automatic. French then attended the Musicians' Institute in Los Angeles, where he focused on recording engineering, and later went on to study film scoring and orchestration at Berklee College of Music.

Personal Life and Relationship 

Christopher French is married to the actress and singer Ashley Tisdale. They met through common friends in 2012 and got engaged within a year; Christopher proposed to her atop the Empire State Building. They married on September 8, 2014, in Santa Barbara, California.

The career of French encompasses various roles: composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and performer. He was the founding member of the alternative rock band Annie Automatic, in which he was lead vocalist and primary songwriter. His compositions for film and TV include the feature "Unlovable," HBO’s "On Tour with Asperger’s Are Us," the DC animated series "Harley Quinn" for HBO Max, the web series "Helluva Boss," and the TV comedy "Young & Hungry." But since 2018, he has also been known for his various experimental electronic and ambient music projects.
