American actress, Constance McCashin is best known for her role as Laura Avery Sumner in the CBS prime time soap opera, 'Knots Landing'. She made her final screen appearance by playing a supporting role in the 1999 comedy film named 'The Out-of-Towners'. McCashin has also appeared at the TV Land awards in April 2009 for the 30th year celebration of 'Knots Landing'. She also appeared on Love on the Run (1985) and Nightmare at Bittercreek (1988).
Constance McCashin has been married to Sam Weisman, a film director since 15th October 1978. Her son Daniel Weisman, an actor was born on 1st May 1982. McCashin's daughter named Marguerite Weisman, an actress was born on 25th February 1987. She has appeared in many episodes of the CBS sitcom 'Brooklyn Bridge', playing the role of Rosemary Monahan. Since retiring from acting, she has worked as a therapist in West Newton.
